Save Our Seabirds Helps Birds

Every Day of the Year, and Now

Needs Your Help!

There may be a new animal rescue group at the old Pelican Man facilities on City Island in Sarasota. This is an excellent location with close proximity to sea birds and it is city owned public land.

Save Our Seabirds, a 501c-3, not for profit organization, from Pinellas County and currently in Wimauma, Hillsborough County, would like to move their operations here. They are a highly respected group with many awards. Lee Fox is the director.

A proposal and presentation have already been made to the city for review and SOS is currently requesting pledges to potentially re-open the rehabilitation center. Save Our Seabirds is the only animal rescue group still left on the city RFP list. If they do not get the property, we may have no bird rescue group here in Sarasota.

How can you help?

Buy a Brick, Save a Bird!

Your donation of $1,000 (business) or $100 (individual) will help us secure the financial footing necessary to continue our important work. Each brick purchased will be engraved and placed at the entrance, giving its donor the unique distinction of helping to save the location for wild bird rehabilitation, and give SOS the ability to give our treasured bird population a second chance at life.
